In addition, Monster Hunter Now recently kicked off its Season 4, dubbed Roars from the Winterwind, which began in December and will continue until March 12, 2025. This new season introduces a fresh habitat, additional monsters, and the Switch Axe as a new weapon type. Players can log in during the collaboration event to receive a wealth of supply items, including Weapon Refining Parts and Armor Refining Parts. Furthermore, limited-time packs will be available in the in-game shop and web store, offering Special Carving Knives and Hunting Tickets.
Capcom has also announced a second open beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds in February 2025, which will include content from the first test, a new monster hunt, and character carryover. This gives fans a chance to get a taste of the game before its full release. In Monster Hunter Now, players can interact with both small and large monsters on the map using their real-life location, adding an augmented reality twist to the hunting experience.
Monster Hunter Wilds, slated for a 2025 release, is one of the most anticipated games of the year, joining the ranks of Avowed, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Nintendo’s new Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6. As a successor to 2018’s Monster Hunter: World, Wilds will feature several open-world biomes, 14 weapon types, and support for four-player co-op multiplayer. A standout feature is the Seikret mount, which allows players to carry two weapons while hunting, enhancing the gameplay experience.
