Radiangames has exciting news for racing game enthusiasts with the announcement of Speed Demons 2, a side-scrolling highway racer that echoes the visual style and high-octane action of the iconic Burnout series. Originally a mobile game, Speed Demons is now shifting gears to the PC platform, with the sequel slated for release later this year.
The developer describes the unique control scheme, stating, "The controls are focused on movement, not steering. You'll still have gas, brake, and turbo (or ability) buttons, but you move the analog stick (or mouse) up and down to control your vehicle's direction." They assure players that while the concept might seem unusual at first, it becomes "immediately intuitive once you start playing."

Speed Demons 2 boasts an impressive lineup of ten game modes, including Pursuit, Takedown, and Rampage, which are reminiscent of Burnout's Road Rage mode. These modes challenge players to destroy other cars within a specific time limit. Another mode, Scratchless, draws inspiration from Burnout's Burning Lap, tasking players with reaching the finish line with minimal damage to their vehicle.
