Valve has returned from their New Year holidays, and game developers are starting to roll out exciting new patches. Following the announcement that Deadlock would shift away from its bi-weekly update schedule, fans anticipated a hefty changelog. However, Valve opted for a lighter touch to kick off the year.
The latest patch focused solely on one hero: Yamato. This character experienced a slight nerf, with a reduction in damage scaling and a decreased attack speed bonus at the first level of Shadow Transformation. Additionally, abilities such as Frenzy, Berserker, and Restorative Shot were weakened, while Alchemical Fire underwent a minor rework.

Given the modest size of this update, it's likely that players will need to wait a bit longer for a more substantial patch. Predicting when that will happen is currently challenging.
It's important to mention that Deadlock has recently seen a significant drop in its player base. This decline might be attributed to the popularity of Marvel Rivals, which has captured the attention of many gamers. Despite this, Deadlock maintains a respectable online player count of 7,000 to 19,000, which is promising for a game still in deep beta. Valve has yet to reveal any potential release dates or specifics about the game's monetization model.
