Armor Spheres are primarily awarded as quest rewards. You'll earn them by completing both main and optional quests.
You'll begin receiving Armor Spheres after defeating Uth Duna for the first time in the main storyline. Subsequently, most main and optional quests from that point forward will offer them as rewards.
To view potential rewards, select a quest from your journal and press R1. Your rewards will be displayed on the results screen after a successful hunt.
