Black Ops 6 Unveils New Zombies Map
No Amalgams Here
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is expanding its round-based survival mode with a fresh Zombies map, marking it as the fifth addition to the game. A sneak peek was shared on the official Call of Duty X (formerly Twitter) account and by Treyarch Studios on March 12, 2025. The teaser image showcases the front of a grand mansion, visibly damaged with flaming army car wreckage, dark smoke, and internal fires, setting a thrilling scene.
The accompanying caption, "Personal log. Edward Richtoften recording…" alongside a "#Zombies" hashtag, hints at the return of the iconic character Edward "Eddie" Richtoften, a key figure in Call of Duty: Cold War. Given that Black Ops 6 is a remake, Eddie's reappearance is no surprise.
Sharp-eyed fans have identified the map as the Mansion from Liberty Falls, dated February 1991, aligning with the timeline from the last Zombies map, The Tomb, suggesting a continuing narrative.
Treyarch has also confirmed through their Instagram that this new map will notably exclude Amalgam enemies. When a fan expressed anticipation for facing "the wrath of 20 amalgams on this map too," the developers responded with a firm "Nope." Amalgams, known for their high HP and powerful attacks, will not be part of this map, potentially offering players a smoother and less challenging experience.
