Speaking at EVO 2024, Matsumoto stated that the possibility of Amingo, Ruby Heart, and SonSon's return is "always a possibility," particularly given the upcoming release of the Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics.
Matsumoto emphasized that the collection's release will introduce a wider audience to these characters, potentially generating the interest needed for their inclusion in titles outside the Versus series, such as Street Fighter 6.
