Character customization is a key feature in Monster Hunter Wilds, offering players extensive options to personalize their hunter and palico. This guide details how to modify your character's appearance and equipment.
Altering Your Hunter and Palico's Appearance
Monster Hunter Wilds provides a detailed character creator accessible throughout the game. Once you've established your base camp, enter your tent and access the Appearance Menu (using L1 or R1). Select "Change Appearance" to revisit the character creator and adjust your hunter's and palico's physical features.
Outfit Changes and Layered Armor
Layered Armor customization is available from the game's outset. Within the Appearance Menu (accessed via your tent), choose "Equipment Appearance." This lets you customize your hunter's and palico's outfits using unlocked Layered Armor pieces. Note: You can't directly transmog equipped armor; only available Layered Armor sets can be used. To change your outfit beyond Layered Armor, you must forge and equip new armor, keeping in mind that each piece affects your character's stats.
