Bandai Namco has started sending emails confirming participation in the closed beta testing for Elden Ring Nightreign, set for February 14–17, 2025. Selected players will be among the first to experience the game’s three-person cooperative mode, as outlined in the email.
With Nightreign’s soaring popularity, scammers are circulating fraudulent beta test invitations. Some players have received emails designed to mimic official Bandai Namco notifications, claiming to offer access to the beta. These emails include links to counterfeit websites resembling Steam.

These scams prompt users to log in on fake platforms, leading to account theft. In some instances, players have received similar fraudulent messages from compromised friends’ accounts. Some victims recovered their accounts after reaching out to Steam support.
Exercise caution with links and always verify the legitimacy of sources. When in doubt, refer to official Bandai Namco channels and avoid clicking suspicious links.
In Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will no longer be able to leave messages in FromSoftware games. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained in an interview that the decision stems from the game’s structure. The fast-paced, roughly forty-minute Nightreign sessions leave little time for players to write or read messages.
Due to the short duration of sessions, approximately forty minutes, the messaging feature has been disabled to maintain the game’s flow.
