Final Fantasy VII Rebirth PC Specs Demand High-End Hardware for 4K
Square Enix has released updated PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, highlighting the need for powerful hardware, especially for 4K resolution. Just two weeks before the PC launch, the updated requirements emphasize a high-end graphics card with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K gameplay.
The game leverages DLSS upscaling, ShaderModel 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate for enhanced performance and visuals. This follows the November PS5 Pro patch that boosted the game's performance on Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, however, Rebirth will not receive any DLC at this time; Square Enix is focusing on Part 3 of the Remake project.
While some PC specs were previously revealed, Square Enix has clarified that 12-16GB VRAM is recommended for 4K resolution. Other minimum requirements include Windows 10/11 64-bit, 155GB SSD storage, 16GB RAM, and a multi-core CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent. Graphics card requirements range from an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 (with caveats for 4K and ShaderModel 6.6 support).
