Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations
Lightcrystals are your key to forging powerful gear, and you can find them by mining at specific Outcrops scattered throughout Monster Hunter Wilds. Keep in mind, the drop rate is random, so patience is crucial as you farm these valuable resources.
I've pinpointed the prime locations for you to target:
- Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
- Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
- Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
- Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5
After you've mined an Outcrop, it will take around 15 to 20 minutes to respawn. Use this time to explore other areas for additional resources before returning to your Lightcrystal spots.
How to Use Lightcrystals
Once you've amassed a good stock of Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. Here, you can utilize them to forge or upgrade the following equipment:
- Guild Knight Sabers I
- Dragon Perforator II
- Dual Hatchets II
- Triple Bayonet II
- Iron Assault II
- Iron Gale II
- Chain Blitz II
- Iron Accelerator II
- Hyperguard II
- Buster Sword II
- Iron Hammer II
- Metal Bagpipe II
- Chrome Drill II
- Iron Katana II
- Iron Beater II
- Ingot Vambraces
- Thunder Charm III
Be aware, though, that many of these items, except for the Thunder Charm, may soon be outclassed by newer, more powerful gear. So, while you're forging ahead, keep an eye out for upgrades.
