Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered: Dual Outfit Effects Hack Revealed

by Patrick Feb 11,2025

Master the Dual Outfit Technique in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered!

This guide details how to combine the benefits of two outfits in Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered, enhancing your gameplay significantly. Note that this is a feature exclusive to the Remastered version.

Remastered Version Required:

The dual outfit method relies on the Remastered edition's transmog feature, allowing you to wear one outfit's appearance while retaining another's stats. This wasn't possible in the original game.

Outfit Requirements:

This technique requires a specific combination: One outfit of your choice, paired with one of these three Banuk Werak outfits from the Frozen Wilds DLC:

  • Banuk Werak Runner
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain
  • Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept (New Game Plus only)

Accessing the Frozen Wilds DLC is not dependent on completing the main game.

Acquiring the Banuk Werak Outfits:

Banuk Werak Runner:

Locate a Bluegleam Merchant (marked by a blue merchant icon) within the Frozen Wilds DLC area after defeating the introductory machine. Purchase the Banuk Werak Runner outfit using the following resources:

Resource Normal Cost Ultra Hard Cost
Metal Shards 1000 5000
Desert Glass 10 20
Slagshine Glass 10 20

Banuk Werak Chieftain & Banuk Werak Chieftain Adept:

Complete the "For the Werak" quest (the third main quest in the Frozen Wilds DLC) to obtain the Banuk Werak Chieftain outfit. Consider lowering the difficulty if needed. The Adept version is acquired the same way but is only available in New Game Plus.

Combining Outfit Effects:

  1. Equip your preferred outfit – the one with the desired stats (remember you can enhance stats using Weaves).
  2. Use the transmog feature to change the appearance to one of the three Banuk Werak outfits.

This allows you to benefit from your chosen outfit's stats and the passive auto-healing effect provided by the Banuk Werak outfits. The Chieftain and Chieftain Adept offer significantly faster healing than the Runner. Combining this with an outfit like the Shield-Weaver makes you incredibly resilient.
