The Blood of Dawnwalker: Chasing AAA Excellence

30-40 Hour Core Experience

In an exclusive interview with Games Radar, Creative Director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz revealed that despite Rebel Wolves being a fledgling studio, their debut title aims to capture the same magic that made The Witcher 3 legendary.

When discussing the blurred line between indie and AAA development, Tomaszkiewicz clarified their vision: "Quality-wise, we're benchmarking against AAA titles - specifically The Witcher 3's standard. That's our pedigree."

Rebel Wolves may be new, but its team boasts seasoned veterans from CD Projekt Red's Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077 projects. Founded by Mateusz and Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, the studio prioritizes creative freedom over corporate constraints while maintaining their AAA production expertise.

"Our scope is intentionally more focused," Tomaszkiewicz explained. "As a smaller studio's first project, we're crafting something leaner but equally polished. Think 30-40 hours for the main campaign - shorter than The Witcher 3, but game length doesn't define quality. Not every AAA experience needs hundred-hour playtimes."

The Blood of Dawnwalker transports players to the gothic realm of Vale Sangora, where they assume the role of Coen - a peasant thrust into vampirehood during a fateful encounter. His desperate quest to cure his dying sister intertwines with navigating Vale Sangora's treacherous political landscape and supernatural threats.

While no exact release date is confirmed, the game will debut on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S following a gameplay showcase planned for Summer 2025.
