Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal First Month: $16 Million in Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by a staggering 40 times, highlighting its immense popularity. The game's success is largely attributed to its strong performance in China, where it achieved over 5 million downloads.
Launched in December 2024 by Infold Games (Papergames in China), Infinity Nikki captivated players with its enchanting Miraland setting and unique gameplay. Players guide Nikki and her cat, Momo, through diverse nations, solving puzzles and overcoming challenges using magically imbued outfits powered by Whimstars. This blend of fashion and adventure resonated strongly with the gaming community, leading to a massive 30 million pre-registrations before launch.
AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals a strong initial performance. The game earned $3.51 million in its first week, followed by $4.26 million and $3.84 million in the subsequent weeks. While weekly revenue dipped to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached a remarkable $16 million. This figure significantly outpaces both Love Nikki's ($383,000) and Shining Nikki's ($6.2 million) first-month earnings. It's important to note that these figures reflect only mobile platform revenue, excluding PC and PlayStation 5 sales.
China's Contribution to Infinity Nikki's Success
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's success, accounting for over 42% of total downloads. The game's initial daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, but daily earnings subsequently fluctuated. While a decline was observed, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th, the release of Version 1.1 on December 30th resulted in a significant revenue surge to $665,000, almost tripling the previous day's earnings.
Available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android, Infinity Nikki's developers are committed to ongoing updates and seasonal events (like the Fishing Day Event) to maintain player engagement and further build upon its impressive success.
