The new Sanctum Showdown mode in Marvel Snap introduces an exhilarating way to compete, featuring innovative snapping mechanics and a race to 16 points. Available until March 11th, this limited-time event challenges players to rise to the rank of Sorcerer Supreme through a unique gameplay experience.
In this mode, the traditional gameplay is transformed; instead of playing until turn six, the first player to reach 16 points emerges victorious. The central element is the Sanctum location, which awards the highest points each turn. Starting from turn three, players can snap once per turn, increasing the Sanctum’s value by one point and dynamically shifting the game's momentum.
Each match in Sanctum Showdown requires one Scroll to enter, and a win rewards you with another Scroll, allowing the action to continue. You begin with 12 Scrolls and receive two more every eight hours. If you run out, you can purchase additional Scrolls for 40 Gold. Regardless of the match outcome, every game contributes to your Sorcerer Rank and earns you Charms, which can be redeemed in the Sanctum Shop for cosmetics or new cards.
To ensure fair play, certain cards and locations are banned in this mode. Abilities that affect final outcomes are disabled, and cards like Debrii are removed to prevent one-sided strategies. Planning to use Captain Marvel or Dracula? Think again, as these strategies won't work here.
To conquer this challenge, build the perfect deck using our comprehensive *Marvel Snap tier list*. If you're eyeing cards such as Laufey, Gorgon, and Uncle Ben, Sanctum Showdown is your exclusive opportunity to acquire them before they become available in the Token Shop on March 13th. Portal Pulls offer a chance to unlock these cards for free, along with up to four Series 4 or 5 cards.
Sanctum Showdown will be accessible in Marvel Snap until March 11th. For more details, visit the official website.
