Lego has unveiled an exciting new range of sets inspired by the upcoming live-action film, "A Minecraft Movie," featuring Jack Black as Steve. These sets provide a sneak peek at some of the mobs and scenes fans can anticipate in the movie. As reported by Games Radar, the newly announced sets include the Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring and The Ghast Balloon Village Attack, which will complement the existing lineup of regular Minecraft Lego sets. These new sets will feature minifigures of Jack Black's Steve and Jason Momoa's character, The Garbage Man.

The Woodland Mansion Fighting Ring set, priced at $49.99 and comprising 491 pieces, hints at a thrilling gladiator-style battle scene in the film. The set showcases Momoa's The Garbage Man engaging in combat with a zombie riding a giant chicken. While it's unclear whether this depiction is to scale or represents a baby zombie on a regular-sized chicken, the combined height of the zombie and chicken is about twice that of The Garbage Man. This set also includes figures of Steve, his companion Henry, and a towering zombie pigman, along with a fighting ring, a chest filled with gold, and a small viewing stand equipped with weapons.

The Ghast Balloon Village Attack set, priced at $69.99 with 555 pieces, confirms the inclusion of the Nether's iconic marshmallow-like Ghast in the movie. This set suggests a large-scale battle scene set in a regular overworld village. It includes a village minifigure, two piglins, Steve, characters named Natalie and Dawn, and an iron golem.

Both sets will be available starting March 1, a month before "A Minecraft Movie" premieres in theaters on April 4.

The film, first revealed in September, sparked immediate criticism from fans due to the contrast between the live-action characters and the green screen-generated animated world. Some fans even went as far as remaking the trailer in a fully animated style. In response to the backlash, the director and producer told IGN in November that they were well aware of the reaction and confidently stated that they "were ready for everything."
