Capcom extends the Monster Hunter Wilds beta test following a 24-hour PlayStation Network outage that disrupted the previous weekend's gameplay. The PSN service interruption, attributed to an "operational issue" by Sony, lasted from approximately 3 PM PT on Friday, February 7th, impacting online and even some single-player games requiring server authentication.
The highly anticipated second beta, scheduled from Thursday, February 6th to Sunday, February 9th, was significantly curtailed. In response, Capcom has announced a 24-hour extension to the next beta session. This revised schedule runs from Thursday, February 13th to Monday, February 17th, instead of the original Sunday, February 16th conclusion.
The extended beta period is as follows:
February 13th, 7 PM PT / February 14th, 3 AM GMT – February 17th, 6:59 PM PT / February 18th, 2:59 AM GMT
Capcom confirms that participation bonuses, redeemable in the full game, remain available during this extended period. Despite the previous outage, beta participants had the opportunity to engage with the challenging new monster, Arkveld.
Monster Hunter Wilds is slated for official release on February 28th, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
