Excitement is brewing in the world of Monster Hunter Now as Niantic introduces a thrilling new feature called Monster Outbreaks. Currently in the testing phase, Niantic is eager to gather player feedback to refine this feature before its official rollout.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The testing for Monster Outbreaks will take place from April 26th to 27th, with two sessions each day. Mark your calendars for the event running from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time, on both Saturday and Sunday.
During these sessions, specific outbreak points on the map will see a surge of 8-star Black Diablos. The challenge? Team up with fellow hunters to take down a total of 100 Black Diablos at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Note that this count is per location, not a global tally!
To participate, you must be at least Hunter Rank (HR) 11. In-person group hunts are the way to go here, as the party feature won't be available for this event. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon; tapping on them will reveal more details. There's even a sign-up roster at each location to coordinate with other players.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of this event are fascinating. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the 100 needed. Should your group reach the 100 mark before time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
Successful completion of the 100-monster goal rewards your group handsomely with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Plus, if you use the sign-up roster, you're eligible for the exclusive Outbreak Test I Medal.
