Hotta Studios' upcoming 3D open-world RPG, Neverness to Everness, is gearing up for its first closed beta test. Unfortunately, this initial test will be exclusive to mainland China. However, eager fans worldwide can still keep an eye on developments as the game progresses towards its full release.
Gematsu recently highlighted new lore details, adding to the existing glimpses of the city of Eibon showcased in previous trailers (see below). These updates delve deeper into the game's slightly comedic narrative and the intriguing blend of the bizarre and ordinary within the world of Hetherau.
Hotta Studios, a subsidiary of Perfect World (creators of the successful Tower of Fantasy), is entering a competitive market with Neverness to Everness. While the game shares similarities with other 3D open-world mobile RPGs, it boasts unique features, such as open-world driving. Players can purchase and customize a variety of vehicles, experiencing realistic crash physics. Proceed with caution!
Upon release, Neverness to Everness will face stiff competition from titles like MiHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero and NetEase's Ananta (formerly Project Mugen), both of which occupy similar niches in the mobile gaming landscape.
