Pedro Pascal, the acclaimed actor from hit series like The Last of Us, The Mandalorian, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps, has publicly criticized Harry Potter author JK Rowling over her continued online remarks targeting the transgender community.
Pascal voiced his stance in response to a video shared on April 17 by writer and activist Tariq Raouf. In the clip, Raouf challenges Rowling's endorsement of the UK Supreme Court’s recent decision to legally define "woman" as "a biological female" under national equality laws. This definition effectively excludes transgender women from protection under the Equality Act.
After the ruling, Rowling celebrated on Twitter/X with a photo of herself relaxing by the ocean, smoking a cigar and sipping a drink. Her caption read, "I love it when a plan comes together," alluding to previous donations she made to For Scotland Women, the organization behind the lawsuit.

In his video, Raouf described Rowling's behavior as "serious Voldemort villain sh**" and called on audiences to boycott Harry Potter and related content. Pascal echoed these sentiments in his reply, writing: "Awful disgusting SH** is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior."
This isn’t the first time Pascal has shown solidarity with the transgender community. Earlier, he posted, “I can’t think of anything more vile, small, and pathetic than terrorizing the most vulnerable among us—people who simply want the freedom to exist,” alongside an image of a sign stating, "A world without trans people has never existed and never will." He also made a statement at the Thunderbolts premiere in London by wearing a shirt with the phrase "Protect the dolls," a term widely recognized in LGBTQIA+ circles as a reference to trans women.
Pascal’s sister, Lux Pascal, came out as a trans woman in 2021, and he has been a vocal supporter from the start. In an emotional post following her announcement, he wrote, "Mi hermana, mi corazón, nuestra Lux" – Spanish for "My sister, my heart, our Lux."
