Ubisoft Delays Rainbow Six Mobile and The Division Resurgence

Rainbow Six Mobile and Tom Clancy's The Division Resurgence, much-anticipated mobile titles, will not be released until after Ubisoft's fiscal year 2025 (FY25), meaning a launch sometime in 2025. This delay, announced in a recent financial report, aims to minimize competition within the already saturated tactical shooter market.

The decision to postpone the releases, initially slated for sometime between 2024 and 2025, suggests a strategic move rather than development setbacks. Ubisoft seeks to optimize launch performance by avoiding a crowded release window. This means players likely won't see either game before April 2025, the end of FY25.

ytStrategic Timing

The delay is partly attributed to upcoming releases of competing tactical shooters, such as Delta Force: Hawk Ops. Ubisoft's statement regarding "optimized KPIs in a demanding yet very large market" points to a desire for a strong initial market performance, avoiding being overshadowed by other titles.

While disappointing for fans eager to play these mobile adaptations, pre-registration for both games remains open. In the meantime, exploring other top mobile games of 2024, or checking out our list of highly anticipated mobile games, might help ease the wait.
