Steam Users Review-Bomb Schedule I’s Copyright Accuser

Indie drug trade simulator Schedule I has been accused of copyright infringement by Movie Games S.A., creators of the Drug Dealer Simulator series. According to a Polish Press Agency report on April 3, Movie Games S.A. completed a legal review, alleging that Schedule I copied elements of their game’s storyline, mechanics, and user interface.
Although the investigation is ongoing with no formal outcome, fans have already taken sides, with Schedule I gaining significant support. On Steam, Drug Dealer Simulator and its sequel, Drug Dealer Simulator 2, have been hit with a flood of negative reviews, now rated "Overwhelmingly Negative" and "Mostly Negative," respectively.

Recent reviews criticize Movie Games S.A. for targeting an indie developer while ignoring similar games in the past. This backlash persists despite the Drug Dealer Simulator series being widely praised as a top-tier crime management game by fans and media outlets.
Schedule I is a co-op crime simulation where players rise from small-time dealers to drug lords. Launched in Early Access on PC on March 25, it has earned "Overwhelmingly Positive" Steam reviews and ranks as Steam’s second top-selling game, surpassing titles like inZOI, Monster Hunter Wilds, and indie game R.E.P.O. Per SteamDB, Schedule I hit a peak of 459,075 concurrent players.
At Game8, we found Schedule I to be an engaging and immersive experience, akin to a "Breaking Bad" simulator. For more on our take on Schedule I’s Early Access release, read our full article below!
