If you're diving into the cooperative horror game *R.E.P.O.*, you're in for a thrilling ride of physics-based retrieval missions with up to six players. Your task is to navigate through various maps, locate valuables, and safely extract them. But to ensure your efforts aren't in vain, it's crucial to understand how to save your game in *R.E.P.O.*.

How To Save Your Game in R.E.P.O.

One of the most disheartening moments for any gamer is booting up their game only to find their latest progress unsaved. This issue can be particularly frustrating with new releases. Not every game features an autosave function, and some require you to reach specific points or fulfill certain conditions before you can safely save and exit. Sometimes, the tutorial might gloss over these details, leaving players in the dark.

In *R.E.P.O.*, it's essential to keep in mind that the game only autosaves upon completing a level. There's no manual save feature, so abandoning a mission mid-way or dying (which sends you to the Disposal Arena) results in lost progress. Once you die, your save file is wiped, and exiting during a level means starting that level over from scratch.

To save your game, you need to successfully finish a level by delivering your valuables to the Extraction Point. From there, you'll need to enter or return to the truck and signal your AI boss, the Taxman, by holding the message button above your head. This lets him know it's time to head to the Service Station. At the Service Station, you can shop for necessary items, and then, using the same button, proceed to the next level.

Once you've left the Service Station and arrived at your new location, it's safe to exit to the main menu or quit the game entirely. The next time you or your host (if another player created the original save file) starts the game, you can resume *R.E.P.O.* as usual. It's important to note that the game's host is responsible for exiting at the right time to ensure the game saves correctly. When the host quits, all other players will be logged out as well.
