The Sims will celebrate its 25th anniversary with lots of free items

Electronic Arts hosted a special livestream to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Sims franchise, unveiling exciting gifts and events planned for The Sims 4 players. The festivities have already begun with a new update addressing various bugs, featuring a redesigned main menu, and enhanced optimization. Several classic houses in Willow Creek and Oasis Springs have also received a makeover. These updated houses are available immediately for new games, and accessible via the library for existing saves.

The main anniversary celebration starts February 4th with an update delivering over 70 free items! Simultaneously, the "Blast from the Past" in-game event commences. Players can unlock retro-themed items and a new collectible set by completing a series of simple challenges.

Furthermore, a new season called "Motherlode" begins in The Sims 4 on February 6th. While specifics remain undisclosed, anticipation is high for this upcoming season's content.
