EA has unveiled an exciting new tool called Battlefield Labs, which is essentially an internal closed beta for upcoming games in the iconic Battlefield series. To give fans a sneak peek, the developers have shared a brief clip of gameplay from the current pre-alpha version.
Within Battlefield Labs, invited participants will have the opportunity to test out core mechanics and concepts of the game. It's worth noting that not all tested elements will necessarily make it into the final release. Before diving into the various gameplay elements, participants must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). The available game modes for testing will include Conquest and Breakthrough. The initial testing phases will concentrate on combat and the game's destruction system, with subsequent phases dedicated to balance testing.
Pre-registration for Battlefield Labs is now open for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series players. In the coming weeks, EA plans to send out invitations to a select group of a few thousand players, with intentions to broaden the testing to more regions in the future.
