Play StopotS, the exciting categories word game!
StopotS is a popular categories game, also known as Scattergories, "City Country River," or simply Stop.
First, a set of categories is selected as the foundation for the game. Examples include Names, Animals, and Objects. Once chosen, a random letter is generated for all players, and a new round starts. Everyone must fill in each category with a word beginning with that random letter. The first player to complete all categories hits the "STOP!" button, immediately halting all other players' answers. Then, players review and vote on each other's answers to determine if they are valid. Scoring awards 10 points for each unique, valid answer, 5 points for any repeated valid answer, and 0 points for incorrect answers. This sequence repeats until the final round ends.
