Hez2: A Popular Moroccan Card Game
Hez2 is a classic Moroccan card game perfect for families and friends. This turn-based game supports up to four players, offering engaging gameplay whether you're playing solo, in pairs, or with a larger group. The goal is simple: be the first to get rid of all the cards in your hand.
Gameplay involves matching either the suit or the rank of the previously played card. If a player lacks a playable card, they must draw one from the deck. Even with a valid card, a player may choose to draw instead.
Special Cards:
-
2: When a two is played, the next player must draw two cards. If they also hold a two, they can choose to play it (forcing the next player to draw four), or hold it for later use and draw two. This continues until a player without a two draws the accumulated penalty cards.
-
7: Playing a seven allows the player to change the required suit/color for the next card played.
-
10: The player who plays a ten must immediately play another card. If the ten was their last card, they must draw a card from the deck.
-
12: In games with three or four players, playing a twelve skips the next player's turn. This rule does not apply to two-player games.
The game concludes when a player plays their last card (with some special rules applying if the last card is a two or a ten), and that player is declared the winner.
Hez2 uses a 40-card deck with four suits:
- 10 Copas (Tbaye9)
- 10 Espadas (Syouf)
- 10 Oros (D'hab)
- 10 Bastos (Zrawéte)
Each suit contains cards numbered 1-7 and 10-12.
Hez2 is fun for everyone! Enjoy the game!
