Alphadia III has officially launched today on Android for global players, marking the exciting third installment in the popular Alphadia series. Brought to you by publisher KEMCO and developer EXE CREATE, the game initially debuted in Japan back in October of the previous year.
What’s the Story in Alphadia III?
Set in the year 970 of the Alphadian calendar, the narrative unfolds during the critical final stages of the Energi War, a colossal struggle centered around the control of a mysterious life force known as energi. The world is divided among three major powers, each vying for dominance: the Schwarzschild Empire to the north, the Nordsheim Kingdom to the west, and the Luminea Alliance to the east.
As the conflict reaches its breaking point, the story introduces us to Alfonso, a clone soldier whose life takes a dramatic turn following a visit from a girl named Tarte. She brings the somber news of another clone's death, sparking a pivotal moment that sets the stage for Alfonso's journey.
What’s the Gameplay Like?
Alphadia III stays true to its roots with turn-based combat viewed from a side perspective, all rendered in a charming pixel art style. The game includes various systems to enhance your gameplay experience, such as SP Skills that accumulate during battles and can dramatically shift the tide of combat when used strategically.
The introduction of Arrays adds depth to your battle strategy, allowing you to unlock different formations and tactics as you progress, tailoring your approach to various combat scenarios. A new feature, the Energi Crock, lets you convert unused items into Energi Elements over time, which you can then exchange for valuable gear and items at in-game shops.
Throughout your adventure, you'll encounter diverse groups such as the peacekeeping alliance Deval and the elite military unit Rosenkreutz from Nordsheim. You'll also learn about different energi clone models, like Nordsheim's Berger Series and Schwarzschild's Delta Series.
Beyond the main storyline, Alphadia III offers a wealth of side content and is optimized for controller use. You can purchase the full version on the Google Play Store for $7.99, or opt for the freemium version, which includes ads.
