Respeccing Your Character in Avowed (And When To)
Starting a new game, it's hard to know your ideal character build. Respeccing lets you adjust if you're unhappy with your current playstyle. This is especially helpful in Avowed, where experimentation is key. You might start as a pure mage, only to discover a spellsword build is more effective. Later in the game, respeccing allows you to optimize your build for maximum combat effectiveness.
Respeccing Your Abilities
To respec your abilities, open the menu and select "Abilities." At the bottom, you'll find a "Reset Points" option. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt, increasing with game progression. Click the button, confirm, and pay the cost. This resets all ability points except those from the "Godlike" skill tree (obtained through in-game choices).
Respeccing Your Attributes
Satisfied with your abilities but not your attributes? Or want a complete overhaul? Open the menu, go to "Character," and locate the button under your attribute list. The initial cost is 100 Copper Skeyt (increasing later). Click, pay the price, and redistribute your attribute points.
Respeccing Your Companion
To respec your companion, open the menu, navigate to "Abilities," then the "Companions" tab. Under your companion's name, you'll see a button to respec for a Copper Skeyt cost. Remember to respec each companion individually.
That's how to respec in Avowed! Enjoy optimizing your character build.
