War Thunder's Firebirds Update: New Aircraft and More!
Gaijin Entertainment has announced the upcoming Firebirds update for War Thunder, arriving in early November. This major update introduces a host of new aircraft, ground vehicles, and warships.
New Aircraft Soaring into War Thunder
The Firebirds update brings some iconic additions to the skies, including the stealthy American F-117A Nighthawk, the powerful Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber, and the versatile F-15E Strike Eagle.
The F-117A Nighthawk represents a first for War Thunder: a stealth aircraft. Its unique design, employing radar-absorbing materials and angles to deflect radar waves, made it a near-invisible threat in real-life conflicts like Operation Desert Storm, completing over 1,200 sorties without loss.
The F-15E Strike Eagle, an enhanced F-15 variant, boasts a significantly increased payload and advanced targeting systems. Players will have access to a wide range of weaponry, from Maverick missiles and laser-guided bombs to JDAMs and even the GBU-39 satellite-guided bombs (20 at once!).
Beyond the Skies: Ground and Naval Additions
The Firebirds update isn't just about aircraft. New ground vehicles include the British FV107 Scimitar light tank, and the French battleship Dunkerque joins the naval forces.
Aces High Season Continues
The Aces High season is also underway, offering players the chance to unlock unique vehicles, earn trophies, and collect rewards by completing the season and Battle Pass. Rewards include aircraft such as the Bf 109 G-14, F2G-1, and La-11, along with powerful ground units like the T54E2 and G6, and ships like the HMS Orion and USS Billfish.
