Floatopia Is Coming To Android, And It Has Strong Animal Crossing Energy

NetEase Games unveiled their charming life sim, Floatopia, at Gamescom, promising a multi-platform release, including Android, sometime in 2025. This whimsical game features sky-bound islands and unique characters. The trailer depicts a picturesque world where players farm, fish, and decorate their floating island homes.

A Unique Apocalypse

The game's premise involves a world-ending event, but thankfully, it's more akin to "My Time at Portia" than "Fallout." The setting is a fractured, sky-bound landscape inhabited by humans with varied supernatural abilities, some more useful than others. Players discover that seemingly insignificant powers can hold surprising potential.

Island Life and Beyond

As the Island Manager, players engage in activities reminiscent of "Animal Crossing" and "Stardew Valley," cultivating crops, cloud fishing, and meticulously designing their homes. The floating nature of the homes allows for exploration of exotic locations and meeting new characters.

Social interaction is a key component, with opportunities for shared adventures, island parties, and showcasing one's creations. However, multiplayer is optional, allowing for a solo experience if preferred.

The game boasts a diverse cast of characters with unique personalities and abilities, adding another layer of depth to the gameplay.

While a specific release date for 2025 hasn't been confirmed, pre-registration is available on the official website.
