While Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick expressed optimism about the Fall 2025 release window for GTA 6, he acknowledged the inherent risks in predicting release dates. He emphasized Rockstar Games' dedication to quality, stating that the company prioritizes perfection, even if it means potential delays. Despite this, Zelnick conveyed his confidence in the projected timeframe.

Zelnick highlighted 2025 as a pivotal year for Take-Two, with several major releases planned. These include the early access launch of Sid Meier's Civilization VII, a summer release for Mafia: The Old Country, the anticipated Fall launch of GTA 6, and the year-end release of Borderlands 4. The company expressed significant optimism about the commercial success of these titles.

The GTA franchise continues to dominate, with GTA V surpassing 210 million units sold globally. GTA Online also saw robust performance, boosted by the "Agents of Sabotage" holiday update and the continued growth of the GTA+ subscription service.
Other key titles also performed exceptionally well. NBA 2K25 exceeded 7 million units sold, demonstrating strong player engagement. Red Dead Redemption 2 continues to expand its player base, exceeding 70 million units sold and reaching record concurrent player numbers on Steam.

Rumors regarding Steven Ogg, the actor who portrays Trevor in GTA V, harboring negative feelings towards the character have been dispelled. Ogg clarified that he doesn't dislike the character, but simply prefers not to be addressed by his character's name.
