Get ready for Pokémon GO's spooky Halloween event, Part 1! Niantic has revealed the details, and a Part 2 is on the way! Expect exciting features and chilling Pokémon encounters.
The event starts Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time, and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What's New?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially useful against Team GO Rocket or in GO Battle League. Morpeko switches between Full Belly Mode and Hangry Mode mid-battle, depending on its Charged Attack. Full Belly Mode uses Aura Wheel (Electric), a 100-power move boosting Attack. Hangry Mode uses a Dark-type Aura Wheel, also with 100 power and an Attack boost.
During the event, you'll have increased chances to encounter Morpeko in GO Battle League's premium track. After the event, it will appear from Rank 16 onwards, but remain more common in premium battles.
A Spooktacular Pokémon GO Halloween!
The game gets a festive makeover with Halloween decorations. Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly during the event. Check out this remix:
Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.
Free Timed Research runs from October 22nd to November 3rd, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks for encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
