Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Controversy: Compensation and Future Plans

Infinity Nikki's version 1.5 update has stirred controversy among its player base due to numerous issues and unmet expectations. Developer Infold Games has responded to the outcry by offering compensation and outlining plans to address the shortcomings. Here’s a detailed look at what players can expect and how the studio plans to move forward.

Infinity Nikki Version 1.5 Updates

Free Diamonds as Compensation

The release of Infinity Nikki's version 1.5 was met with high anticipation, but the update fell short of the promises made by Infold Games. On May 18, via a Twitter (X) post, the developer acknowledged the "unstable game environment and unsatisfactory content," and announced compensation for affected players.

Version 1.5 introduced several technical issues and bugs across various platforms, making the game unplayable for some. Additionally, the cost of 5-star outfits was unexpectedly raised, increasing from 9 or 10 pieces to 11 pieces. This change meant players needed up to 220 pulls to complete an outfit, significantly hiking the time and resources required.

The update also introduced a new dye system that players found confusing and cumbersome, as it necessitated unlocking color palettes for each clothing item. The removal of the Threads of Reunion storyline due to ongoing development of its associated outfit further compounded player frustration. Infold Games admitted, "Due to technical hurdles in Version 1.5, we were unable to properly refine the introduction of the Sea of Stars chapter and the narrative setup for Threads of Reunion, which regrettably led to confusion."

In response to player feedback, Infold Games offered compensation: "As compensation for Version 1.5's shortcomings and schedule changes, all stylists will receive Diamond *120 and Energy Crystal *1 every day from June 5 to June 12, totaling Diamond *960 and Energy Crystal *8." Despite this gesture, the studio has yet to outline specific plans to address the issues, leaving fans vocal about their concerns in the comments section.

Delayed Version 1.6

The rocky launch of version 1.5 has led to a delay in the release of version 1.6, now scheduled for June 12, 2025. This delay also impacts the in-game event schedule. The new weekly task, Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20, will now debut with version 1.6. Infold Games explained, "This delay allows us to refine task mechanics for a smoother experience. Additional details will be announced at a later date—please stay tuned." As compensation for the delay, players will receive 360 Starlit Crystals.

More Unlisted Adjustments On The Way

Infold Games is actively working on additional adjustments to address the issues brought forth by version 1.5. "There are also unlisted adjustments under discussion. Some changes require extended development cycles, but we commit to implementing them through phased updates," the studio stated.

To improve communication with the community, Infold Games is launching the Miraland Round Table initiative. Players can voice their concerns and share feedback directly with the developers by emailing the game’s official email account with "Table Advisor" in the subject line or through the in-game Customer Service option.

Expressing both guilt and gratitude, Infold Games remains committed to enhancing the game. "We feel guilt over delayed promises, yet gratitude for your unwavering support. We promise to make the game shine brighter than ever." Infinity Nikki is available on PlayStation 5, iOS, Android, and PC. Stay updated with the latest information by checking out our article below!
