How Moonstone Works in Marvel Snap

Moonstone is a 4-cost, 6-power card with the Ongoing effect: "Has the Ongoing effects of your 1, 2, and 3-Cost cards here." This makes her incredibly synergistic with cards like Ant-Man, Quinjet, Ravonna Renslayer, and Patriot. Combining her with Mystique allows for powerful duplication of Ongoing effects, especially those of Iron Man and Onslaught. However, she's vulnerable to Enchantress, which negates lane effects unless countered by Cosmo. Echo is another, less common, counter to consider in combo-heavy decks.

Best Day One Moonstone Decks

Moonstone excels in decks featuring low-cost Ongoing cards. Two strong contenders are Patriot and Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur decks.

Patriot Deck:

Wasp, Ant-Man, Dazzler, Mister Sinister, Invisible Woman, Mystique, Patriot, Brood, Iron Lad, Moonstone, Blue Marvel, Ultron. [Untapped deck link here]

This deck utilizes the classic Patriot/Mystique/Ultron combo, amplified by Moonstone. Ant-Man and Dazzler provide additional synergy, while Iron Lad offers card draw. Invisible Woman protects key cards from counters (except Alioth). The potential for a 48-power final turn is significant.

Victoria Hand/Devil Dinosaur Deck:

Quicksilver, Hawkeye, Kate Bishop, Victoria Hand, Mystique, Cosmo, Agent Coulson, Copycat, Moonstone, Wiccan, Devil Dinosaur, Gorr the God Butcher, Alioth. [Untapped deck link here]

This deck uses the established Devil Dinosaur strategy, enhanced by Moonstone and Victoria Hand. Victoria Hand buffs various cards, while Mystique copies Devil Dinosaur or Victoria Hand's effects. Careful placement of Cosmo is crucial to counter Enchantress. Copycat is flexible and can be replaced with a suitable 3-cost card.

Moonstone is a worthwhile investment, offering significant long-term impact. Her synergy with Mystique creates diverse deck-building possibilities, extending beyond the decks mentioned here, including potential applications in Zoo decks. The release of any new Ongoing card will likely lead to new Moonstone deck strategies.
