The 6v6 mode's initial popularity was evident during last November's Overwatch Classic event. Its brief return proved highly successful, quickly becoming one of the most played modes. A second playtest, beginning December 17th, was initially planned to conclude January 6th, but its extension reflects continued player demand. While the exact end date remains unannounced, the mode will soon move to the Arcade section. The mid-season transition will involve changing from role queue to an open queue, requiring each team to field 1-3 heroes of each class.
