The final day of the Six Invitational is always a big day for Ubisoft and Rainbow Six Siege fans, marked by significant announcements. This year's highlight? The reveal of Rauora, the newest Attack operator hailing from New Zealand.
Rauora's unique ability centers around the DOM launcher, a deployable bulletproof shield designed specifically for doorways. While resistant to bullets, it's vulnerable to explosives. A clever twist: anyone can trigger the shield's opening mechanism, but the timing differs. Attackers open it in a single second, while defenders face a three-second delay—a potentially game-changing difference, especially during defuser situations.

Adding to the excitement, Rauora brings a brand-new weapon to Rainbow Six Siege: the Reaper MK2, a fully automatic pistol equipped with a red dot sight and a high-capacity magazine. Players can also choose between the M249 LMG or the 417 marksman rifle as alternative primary weapons.
Rauora will be playable on the test servers starting next week, with a later release date for the live game.
