Garry Newman, creator of Garry's Mod, informed IGN that he received a DMCA takedown notice late last year from individuals associated with the Skibidi Toilet copyright holders. Newman's public reaction, expressed on a Discord server ("Can you believe the cheek?"), quickly escalated into a viral controversy. While Newman has confirmed the resolution of the dispute, the identity of the party issuing the DMCA remains undisclosed. It's unclear whether it originated from DaFuqBoom or Invisible Narratives.

The DMCA targeted unauthorized Skibidi Toilet add-ons and content within Garry's Mod, a game released by Valve in 2006. The sender claimed significant revenue generation from these unauthorized uses and asserted copyright ownership of characters like Titan Cameraman, Titan Speakerman, and Titan TV Man.
