Rest and Recuperation in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Sleep is paramount in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, offering a crucial method of health restoration without relying solely on food and potions. This guide details where to find a place to rest your weary head.

Securing a Bed

Early in the game, securing your own bed is vital. During the "Wedding Crashers" quest, choose either the blacksmith (Radovan) or the miller (Kreyzl) questline. Completing their introductory tasks will grant you access to a bed. Radovan, located in the relatively close-by Tachov, is a convenient option. After finishing his smithing tutorial, you'll gain access to a bed in the room adjacent to the forge.

This bed will be marked on your world map, and a nearby chest provides convenient storage. Return here whenever you need to heal.

Utilizing Campsites

When immediate access to your bed isn't possible, numerous campsites are scattered throughout the game world. These are usually found along roads and in forests. Be aware that some may be occupied by bandits, requiring you to clear them out before using the campsite's bedrolls. Regardless of occupancy, campsites are marked on your map, allowing you to interact with the bedrolls for a rest. While comfort is lower than a proper bed, it serves the purpose of health regeneration.

Sleeping in an NPC's bed is a last resort. Getting caught will likely lead to a confrontation with the guards unless you can successfully talk your way out of trouble.
