The narrative, detailed by writer and narrative designer Zaire Lanier, centers around Hazel, who embarks on a quest to find her mother after a hurricane devastates their home in the fictional town of Prospero, a vibrant amalgamation of Southern locations. This journey thrusts Hazel into a fantastical world brimming with creatures from Southern folklore. The game launches April 8th, 2025, with early access for Premium Edition owners (available on Steam and Xbox Store for $49.99) beginning April 3rd, 2025. The standard edition is priced at $39.99, and Game Pass subscribers can play on day one.
Hazel's discovery of her "Weaver" heritage—the ability to manipulate the "threads" connecting fates—is key to her adventure.
