The update introduces an option to enable or disable seasonal events, including the Nier:Automata DLC. Navigate to Settings > Gameplay > Seasonal Event Content and choose:

  • Auto: Automatically enables/disables based on the season.
  • Disable: Deactivates seasonal content.
  • Enable: Activates seasonal content.

Note: Changing this setting requires a game restart.

Mixed Reception: A Celebration with Reservations

Following the December 16th announcement, the update received largely positive feedback, with many players creatively dubbing Eve "Christmas Eve." However, some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game with a relatively short playtime (around 30 hours). The need to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content was also a point of contention. Unlike games with multiplayer or high replayability, Stellar Blade's shorter playtime means players may feel compelled to restart to fully enjoy the holiday additions after completing the main story.
