Unlocking a Hidden Romance: Finding and Romancing Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 offers a wealth of romance options, but some remain elusive. This guide focuses on a unique and easily missed encounter: romancing Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This brief romance unfolds during a pivotal moment in Act III, making it easy to overlook.
Locating Naoise Nallinto
-
Reach Act III: Progress through the game until you reach the early stages of Act III and arrive at Wyrm's Crossing on your journey to Baldur's Gate.
-
Visit Sharess' Caress: Locate Sharess' Caress brothel, situated on the eastern side of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate. If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, use the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point for quick access.
-
Find the Nymph's Grotto: On the second floor, look for a door with a green light and ivy. This is the entrance to the Nymph's Grotto. The door is locked, requiring a lockpick skill check of 10 or higher to open.
Initiating the Romance
-
Interact with Naoise: Inside the Nymph's Grotto, approach Naoise and Jara. Their interaction will be interrupted, leading to a confrontation.
-
Defeat Jara: Choose dialogue options that navigate the ensuing conflict. Defeating Jara, who transforms into a Mindflayer, is crucial to progressing the encounter. A suggested response is: "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
-
Engage Naoise: After the fight, Naoise will reveal her attraction to Mindflayers. A successful Insight check will reveal her receptiveness to romance. Suggested responses include: "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset." and "That creature aroused you, didn't it?"
-
The Mental Romance: Naoise will initiate a mental romance, asking you to choose what you "will be." Options include: Revered, Contented, Powerful, Rich, or declining the encounter. Choosing "Contented" leads to a unique romantic scene.
-
The Aftermath: This encounter is a one-time event. Returning later will yield no further romantic interaction. Note that this romance doesn't appear to interfere with existing relationships with other characters. Shadowheart will reward you with the "Carnal Rituals of Sharess" inspiration point. The successful completion of this romance grants the "Rapture" boon, providing a passive 1d6 bonus to various ability checks.
