Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Developer Working on New Feature to Track Challenges

Treyarch is developing a much-requested feature for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking. This feature, present in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, disappointing many players.

While no release date has been announced, the addition is confirmed to be "in the works," hinting at a potential inclusion in the upcoming Season 2 update later this month. This will be a significant improvement for players striving to unlock Mastery camos and other challenge-based rewards. The anticipated functionality mirrors Modern Warfare 3's system, providing a real-time challenge tracker within the game's UI.

Recent Developments and Future Plans

A January 9th update addressed several bugs in Black Ops 6's multiplayer and Zombies modes, including reverting controversial changes to Zombies' Directed Mode following player feedback. However, the challenge tracking feature wasn't included in this patch.

Beyond challenge tracking, Treyarch also confirmed they are developing separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies, addressing another common player request. This will allow for customized HUD configurations without needing to switch settings between modes. The implementation timeline for this feature remains unannounced.
