"Canker," an early side quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, requires completion of "The Jaunt" to unlock. This quest offers a mace and Groschen, making it worthwhile. Here's a walkthrough:
Initiating the "Canker" Quest:
Speak to Gules in Semine. This is easily done during Lord Semine and Agnes' wedding, while he's drinking. Alternatively, find him on patrol in Semine. Inquire about his former bandit gang and offer your assistance in eliminating them. Canker is the first target.
Locating and Eliminating Canker:
Canker's location, north of Nebakov Mill, will appear on your map upon quest acceptance. Be wary of ambushes along the path. Stealth, combat, or fleeing are all viable options to handle any encountered bandits.
Canker's camp is nestled in the mountains, easily missed due to a narrow passage. Prepare for combat before entering, as several bandits, including Canker, will be present. While some bandits might flee, ensure you eliminate most, if not all, for quest completion. Canker himself will not flee.
Quest Completion:
After defeating Canker and the other bandits, loot Canker's body. You must obtain the Light Mace, though other loot is also available. Return to Gules to complete the quest.
A full in-game day must pass before the next quest in this chain, "Handsome Charlie," becomes available. Speak to Gules again after this delay to proceed.
