Dead by Daylight (DbD), the popular asymmetrical horror multiplayer game, is partnering with legendary manga artist Junji Ito to bring his iconic horror creations to life. This "ultimate horror collaboration" features eight terrifying new skins inspired by Ito's renowned works.
A Gallery of Fear: Eight New Skins
For forty years, Junji Ito has captivated audiences worldwide with his unique brand of surreal horror. Now, his chilling characters are invading the realm of Dead by Daylight. The collection includes skins based on iconic works like "Tomie," "Hanging Balloons," and "Rumors."
The Killers receiving new skins are The Dredge, The Trickster, The Twins, The Spirit, and The Artist. The Spirit and The Artist will boast Legendary rarity skins, complete with updated audio and sound effects. The Spirit's skin will be based on Tomie from "Tomie," while The Artist will receive a Miss Fuchi skin from "Rumors." Survivors Yui Kimura, Yun-Jin Lee, and Kate Denson also join the gruesome festivities.
Junji Ito himself was deeply involved in the process, expressing his delight at seeing his creations adapted for the game. In a video shared on the official Dead by Daylight X (formerly Twitter) account, Ito reacted to the in-game skins, commenting on their enhanced terror. He even took a turn playing the game as The Artist, sporting the Miss Fuchi skin.
The Junji Ito Collection will be available starting January 7th, 2025, on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Get ready to face your fears!
