Destiny 2 Unveils Spine-Tingling Armor for Eerie Festival

Destiny 2's Festival of the Lost 2025: A Horror-Themed Vote and Community Concerns

Destiny 2 players will soon cast their votes on new horror-themed armor sets for the upcoming Festival of the Lost event. Bungie has unveiled two competing styles: Slashers and Spectres, each offering unique designs inspired by iconic horror villains and urban legends. This year's event pits Jason Voorhees and Ghostface against the Babadook and La Llorona, with equally chilling Warlock options completing each set.

The announcement, however, comes amidst growing player frustration. While the new armor is generating excitement, many within the Destiny 2 community are expressing concern over persistent bugs and a decline in player numbers throughout Episode Revenant. Issues such as broken tonics and other gameplay glitches, though mostly resolved, have contributed to a sense of dissatisfaction.

Bungie's decision to highlight Festival of the Lost, an event still ten months away, has surprised some players who felt the studio should have addressed the current state of the game and player concerns more directly. The 2024 Festival of the Lost's previously unreleased Wizard armor will be available during Episode Heresy, offering a small consolation.

The Slasher set features Jason-inspired Titan armor, Ghostface-themed Hunter armor, and a Scarecrow Warlock set. The Spectre set provides Babadook-inspired Titan armor, La Llorona-themed Hunter armor, and a Slenderman Warlock set. The community awaits the voting results with anticipation, hoping the chosen sets will offer a welcome distraction from the ongoing challenges facing the game.
