A New Beast Joins the Fray

Missed the first Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta? Fear not! A second Open Beta Test is scheduled for the first two weeks of February.

Following the success of the initial beta, this second phase provides another opportunity to experience the game before its official February 28th launch. Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto announced the news via a video on the official Monster Hunter YouTube channel.

The Open Beta Test will run in two sessions: February 6th-9th and February 13th-16th. It'll be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. This time around, it includes new content, notably the addition of the Gypceros, a familiar foe from the series.

Character data from the first beta carries over and transfers to the full game, though progress won't be saved. Participants receive in-game rewards: a Stuffed Felyne weapon charm and a special bonus item pack to aid early-game progression.
