Midjiwan has unleashed a major update for The Battle of Polytopia: a complete overhaul of the Aquarion Tribe! This popular indie game's first special tribe (debuting in 2017) receives a much-needed makeover.

Aquarion's Aquatic Transformation

The Aquarion's land units now sport mermaid tails, making them amphibious warriors. This allows them to traverse water effortlessly, albeit with reduced speed on land. A significant addition is flooded terrain, enabling land and naval units to occupy the same space for the first time.

Buildings, too, have adapted to an aquatic lifestyle. Construction on water is now possible, with Lost Cities nestled within deep-sea ruins, providing ideal underwater bases. A new structure, the Atoll, connects water cities, eliminating the need for roads. Aqua Crops are back and permanently integrated, functioning like their land-based counterparts.

New aquatic creatures add to the strategic depth. Sharks deliver surprise attacks, Puffers provide long-range bombardments, and Jellies unleash electric shocks. Returning favorites, the Tridentions and Crabs, also receive enhancements; Crabs now flood the tiles they cross, synergizing perfectly with the mermaid troops. See it in action!
