Serial Cleaner, the crime-scene cleanup puzzler, is making a comeback! Remember the 2019 release? This time, it's hitting mobile, but the extent of the improvements remains to be seen. Will it be a polished re-release or a simple port?
The game throws you into the gritty, yet cartoonish, 1970s. As Bob Leaner, you'll be tasked with the messy job of cleaning up after mob hits, disposing of bodies, wiping away blood, and generally erasing all evidence of their violent crimes—all while dodging the police.
Our 2019 review described the original as "half-baked but with potential." Developer Plug-In Digital is now self-publishing this mobile version, suggesting a chance to refine the experience. However, given the time elapsed, significant improvements might be optimistic.
A Retro Revival?
Available for pre-registration now, with a February 11th, 2025 release date, the specifics of the changes are unclear. While a polished update would be welcome, a simple re-release is also a possibility.
The core concept remains compelling, but a straightforward mobile port dampens some of the excitement.
