Stardew Valley Update 1.6 Is Coming To Mobile This November!

Stardew Valley's highly anticipated 1.6 update finally arrives on mobile devices! Console and mobile gamers can rejoice as the massive update launches on November 4th, 2024, following its March 2024 PC debut.

What's New in Stardew Valley 1.6 Mobile?

This update significantly expands the Stardew Valley experience. Key additions include:

  • Expanded Multiplayer: Support for up to eight players online, doubling the previous limit, allowing for enhanced collaborative farming, building, and fishing.
  • New Festivals: Two exciting fishing festivals – the Trout Derby and SquidFest – join the existing seasonal events, including the Desert Festival.
  • Meadowlands Farm: A fresh farm layout ideal for livestock raising and convenient fishing opportunities.
  • Enhanced Social Interaction: Over 100 new NPC dialogues enrich interactions with the town's inhabitants.
  • New Items and Crafting: A plethora of new items, including a Big Chest (double the capacity), a dehydrator, a heavy furnace, and a bait maker, add depth to gameplay.
  • Customization Options: A wide array of new furniture styles and over 25 new hats provide extensive customization possibilities. A prize machine in Lewis' house offers rewards for completing quests and festival events.
  • Multiple Pets: After maximizing your initial pet's affection, you can now have multiple pets, each potentially bringing gifts, and even sporting hats! Expect to see NPCs in winter attire.
  • Ginger Island Enhancement: A golden Joja parrot assists in locating remaining golden walnuts on Ginger Island.
  • New Crops: Expand your farming with carrots, summer squash, broccoli, powdermelon, and two new giant crop varieties.

Reasons for the Delay

The delay in releasing the 1.6 update for mobile and consoles stemmed from the developers' commitment to thorough PC testing to identify and resolve any bugs before wider release.
