Week 2 of The Sims 4's Blast from the Past event is underway, presenting players with a historical mystery. However, a seemingly simple task – studying a Historical Display – is proving troublesome for some. This guide explains how to complete this objective and addresses common issues.
Locating a Historical Display:
The Week 2 quest requires studying a Historical Display, found in museums. Locate a museum on your in-game map (look for the pillar icon). Municipal Muses in Willow Creek and The Future’s Past in Oasis Springs are conveniently located near other event tasks.
Studying the Display:
Once inside the museum, interact with a painting or sculpture (both count as Historical Displays). Select the "View" option. Successful completion is indicated by the appearance of the Emit icon.
Troubleshooting Common Problems:
Many players report issues with the "View" option not functioning. This is often linked to mods. Consider temporarily disabling mods to see if this resolves the problem. If the issue persists, try interacting with multiple displays in different museums. EA is hopefully addressing this bug.

Even after completing the Historical Display task, several other challenges remain in Week 2:
